We often get asked “how do you use the Salted Caramel Sauce”, whilst the answer is often “just with a spoon straight from the jar” followed by a cheeky giggle! We have recently turned our attention to different ways of using our Taste Byron Bay :: Salted Caramel Sauce as an ingredient that makes this fun loving sauce all the more intriging and versatile.
This week we incorporated the Salted Caramel Sauce into our “Chef’s Tent” Byron Farmers’ Market menu.
The “Chef’s Tent”, is a new concept by the Byron Farmers’ Market to showcase and celebrate the produce coming off the market. The Byron Farmers’ Market have invited a small handful of local chefs to cook at the market on a rotating roster, and I’ve been lucky enough to be chosen as one of those chefs!
Cooking at the Byron Farmers’ Market is a wonderful way for us local chefs to all use seasonal local produce off the market and create different menus to highlight the talent of our local farming community.
This weeks menu was:
ORGANIC EGGS & DUKKAH on TOAST ::
Nashua Valley Organic Eggs | Hearts Bread | Hummus | Taste Byron Bay :: Dukkah
CARAMEL & CHILLI FREE RANGE CHICKEN PANCAKE ::
Sugar Beach Farm Free Range Chicken | Gourmet Salad Hut Herbs | Apple & Cucumber Salad |
Taste Byron Bay :: Salted Caramel Sauce
We will be cooking again next week, Thursday 26th January, come down and grab your fresh ingredients directly from our awesome local farmers and producers, then come join us at the Chef’s Tent for breakfast!
