This food tour is a rather fabulous combination of some of our favourite things; shopping, oysters, local seasonal produce, more awesome shopping and plenty of fun along the way!

We’ll start the food tour with a coffee at the uber gorgeous We Are Combi cafe in town,  before we jump in the Taste Byron Bay Kombi and head over to the SPELL boutique, for some gypsy boho wanderlusting around their new boutique and frankly stunning HQ.  From Spell we’ll, jump into the Kombi and head over to Newrybar Village.  Newrybar is home to Harvest Cafe and also the newly opened Newrybar Merchants, a collective of local artists and curators of beautiful things you just want to swoon over for days!  You will have time to wander around the beautiful 1890’s house that is home to Newrybar Merchants and discover why this little village is gaining a name for itself as a ‘must do’ shopping destination.

From Newrybar we will head up to Bangalow for a spot of antiques shopping and a little wander around the town. Like Newrybar, Bangalow is much loved by locals and visitors for its unique shopping experience and ability to meander through some beautifully curated shops offering you a chance to pick up some gorgeous pieces for yourself or your home. From Bangalow we will head to what is fast becoming a mecca for antique and retro shopping enthusiasts, Brunswick Heads. Brunswick is located just north of Byron on the Brunswick River, and is a beautiful example of a classic New South Wales country town with wide streets and lots of happy laid back locals.

All of the antiques shops that we’ll be visiting are owned by passionate vintage and retro collectors, with a mixture of eclectic shop layouts to cleverly styled shop layouts that would happily sit on the front cover of an interior design magazine.

With a morning well spent and shopping bags in hand, we’ll jump back into the Kombi and head for our little ‘reward’ – oysters + a lunch of local season produce!  Our oysters for lunch will be supplied by our favourite local oyster farmer Noel.  Noel’s oyster lease is located on the pristine Brunswick River, so our oysters will travel approximately one kilometre from the water to our table.  We will be enjoying our lunch around a big table at the iconic Clems Cargo, a shared table beautifully set with vintage glass and tableware, and freshly pressed linen napkins providing a touch of vintage glamour to accompany our oysters and relaxed grazing style menu featuring plenty of local produce including Nimbin Valley Dairy cheese, locally cured free range meats, plus dishes featuring seasonal produce made with love by Terase.

Following our relaxing lunch, we will jump back into the Kombi and head back to Byron where the food tour will finish.
