Oh if only you could start every day with a coffee at the uber gorgeous We Are Combi cafe in town and a tour around Byron and the surrounds in the Taste Byron Bay Kombi.

After grabbing our coffee at We Are Combi, we head off on our fabulous foodie adventure with a visit to one of the regions favourite farmers markets in Bangalow.  Plenty of locals choose to do their weekly groceries shopping at our local farmers markets and for good reason ……. the produce is amazing and provides a great chance to catch up with friends and get to know the local farmers.  We will wander around the market, sample lots of local produce and get to meet some of the talented men and women who produce some world class produce.  If you are in Byron for a holiday, we suggest you bring your basket and stock up! We will also have an Esky in the Kombi with ice, so you can be sure your purchases will make it back to your holiday house in good condition.

From the Bangalow farmers market, we will head out to Mullumbimby to visit the privately owned exotic fruit farm. This farm is regarded as one of the regions finest and abundantly talented fruit farmers and all round great guy.  The farmer started planting their orchards nine years ago and now grow over 200 different types of exotic and tropical fruit and spices on their picturesque property just north of Byron.  The first time we visited their farm it would be fair to say that Taste Byron Bay’s founder Terase, was thoroughly blown away by the sheer variety of seasonal produce and the undeniable tranquility of this secluded property.  We are absolutely thrilled to be able to include John and Lyndal’s farm on our Saturday food tours and simply can’t wait to share all the wonderful new flavours with you.

To finish our fun little regional flavour tour we will swing by the Stone & Wood Brewery to talk handcrafted beer, get up close to some of the shiny beer tanks, and of course sample a range of their truly awesome and award winning beer, indulge in a lunch celebrating local seasonal produce before heading back into town.
